Large 7.7 Earthquake Strikes Off Canada Coast, threat increased in the western pacific

A large 7.7 earthquake struck at the Queen Charlotte Island region in British Columbia today, a small tsunami was generated but not large enough to have a effect on the western pacific. PTWC has upgraded there warning to include Hawaii, still no warnings issued for eastern asia but we will continue to monitor this event as it unfolds.
