31 August 2012 Western Pacific Weather Update

The once powerful Typhoon Tembin is now a remnant low as it cruises north followin in the heals of Bolaven that blew through in the early part of the week. Today is the first time in quite sometime though that no organized tropical systems are stirring in the pacific ocean. But that does not mean weather is absent. Across central china a strong frontal area is pushing through bringing severe weather to much of the region. While in South East Asia the south west monsoon is kicking up and producing the risk of flooding to much of the region.
