Kai-Tak is dissipating as it slowly moves into Yunnan Province. Widespread rains will continue for Northern Vietnam and even into Laos and will spread into SW China. 96W, on the other hand, has been upgraded into a Tropical Depression by JMA although the system remains generally weak as it meanders east of Luzon. It is forecast to start turning northward in 36 hours, intensifying along the way. 96W could impact Taiwan or the Japanese Islands by the middle of next week. Finally, we have 97W which is remains weak near Guam. This system is forecast to slowly develop and could become a cyclone in the next 3 days.
