Chichijima recorded sustained winds of around 35kph with gusts of around 85kph; minimum pressure was around 986mb as Damrey moved past the island.

Damrey has picked up its forward speed to 30kph, this is after it brought 6m high waves to Iwo To and surrounding islands on Monday. Now Southern Japan including flood battered Kyushu prepare for this upcoming storm.
