Update July 23rd 2130UTC: Radar Imagery indicates Landfall of a strong Vicente just west of Hong Kong

Update July 23rd 1600UTC: Winds up to 70kts recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in Hong Kong.

Update July 23rd 1245UTC:  JMA upgraded Vicente to a Typhoon with winds of 65kts.

Update July 23rd 1115UTC: Wind Report in Hong Kong shows 120kph winds or 65kts. http://www.hko.gov.hk/contente.htm

Update July 23rd 1100UTC: Latest Radar imagery shows a well developed eye just West of Hong Kong, if this keeps on track it would put the city in the right front quadrant of Vicente.  http://www.hko.gov.hk/wxinfo/radars/radar.htm?pv_mode=playback

Update July 23rd 1030UTC:  Rapid intensification of Typhoon Vicente on Monday has resulted in 100 plus KPH winds to be reported. Signal Warning 8 has therefore been issued by HKO notifying people to stay in doors during the duration of this storm as it continues to blow just West of Hong Kong.

 

Already Vicente has cuased at least 4 deaths and 6 missing in the Philippines as it blew past over the weekend enhancing the South West Monsoon Along the Way.
